Who We Are
We are humble yet awesome geniuses with a knack of just being incredibly cool all the time. Or thats what we would like to be. Words Village is an undertaking by two Indians who believe in the true power of words and their ability to bring people together. In a world divided by the words of politicians and fundamentalists, it is the words of poets and writers that remind us how much similar we really are. Words Village is an initiative undertaken with an idea of creating a global community (after all ‘community’ has its roots in ‘common’) around the best words ever spoken or written.
Our philosophy
Words are the best medium for expressing ourselves. It has often been claimed that pictures are worth a thousand words – and in many cases that is true as well but it well known phenomenon in cases where pictures are possible, However, a popular Hindi saying goes that a poet can reach where even sun won’t – and it is of that power of poets, writers and their words we are speaking of.
The power of expression is what we wish to bring to more people. That power is gained both by reading literature (which gives you power to express yourself) as well as by writing yourself. And we wish to encourage both these endeavors.

To create a global community that not only nourishes an interest in literature but is also able to help its individual members.
